The reason for Durov's arrest has become known

 The warrant was issued because Telegram CEO Pavel Durov did not cooperate with French security forces, TF1 reported.

It is specified that this makes him an accomplice to illegal drug trafficking and other serious crimes.

According to the TV channel, Durov is due to appear before a French judge on the evening of August 24, where he will be charged with multiple crimes. Among the possible charges are terrorism, drugs, complicity, fraud, money laundering, concealment, and pedophilia-related content.
