The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost up to 400 servicemen and 17 units of armored vehicles in the Kursk direction in one day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

The enemy's total losses during the fighting amounted to 5,137 servicemen.

Progress of the operation to destroy Ukrainian formations

Russian military personnel destroyed a sabotage and reconnaissance group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kamyshevka area of ​​the Kursk region.

Units of the North group of forces, with the support of army aviation and artillery fire, repelled attacks by Ukrainian assault groups in the direction of the settlements of Borki and Malaya Loknya, and also thwarted attempts at attacks in the direction of Komarovka, Korenevo, Martynovka and Russkaya Konopelka.

Concentrations of Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel and equipment were damaged in the areas of the populated areas of Apanasovka, Alexandria, Vishnevka, Guevo, Mikhailovka, Lyubimovka, Malaya Loknya, Plekhovo, Snagost and Yuzhny in the Kursk region.

Russian aviation carried out strikes on areas where enemy reserves' personnel and military equipment were concentrated in the areas of the populated areas of Aleksandrovka, Bachevsk, Bunyakino, Vorozhba, Glukhov, Kamenka, Miropolye, Mogritsa, Novaya Sloboda, Obody, Pervomayskoye, Pavlovka, Svessa, Seredina-Buda and Tolstodubovo in Sumy Oblast.

Over the course of a day, the enemy's losses amounted to 400 servicemen and 17 units of armored vehicles, including one tank, two armored personnel carriers, 14 armored combat vehicles, as well as two artillery pieces, an MLRS launcher, two mortars and 10 vehicles.

In total, during the fighting, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost 5,137 servicemen, 69 tanks, 27 infantry fighting vehicles, 55 armored personnel carriers, 350 armored combat vehicles, 158 vehicles, 34 artillery pieces, five anti-aircraft missile systems, 11 multiple launch rocket system launchers, including three HIMARS and one MLRS, six electronic warfare stations, and four units of engineering equipment.

Alaudinov's statements

The Russian military is not allowing enemy units to bring up fresh forces in the Kursk direction, Deputy Chief of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces, commander of the Akhmat special forces, Major General Apty Alaudinov, told TASS.

According to him, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are shelling and doing everything to prevent captured Ukrainian soldiers from being taken to a safe zone.

Evacuation and payments to residents

About 2 thousand more people have left the border areas of the Kursk region over the past two days, said Artem Sharov, deputy director of the information policy department of the Russian Emergencies Ministry .

According to him, more than 7 thousand residents of the region received financial assistance.
