Visa-free entry to Israel for Moldovan citizens will be terminated
From July 1 of this year, Israel begins to implement the ETA-IL system, electronic permits to enter the country, which will also affect residents of Moldova.
According to the Ambassador of Moldova to Israel, Alexander Roitman, the republic will be forced to take symmetrical measures, which “will also affect thousands of religious pilgrims” who annually travel to the Ukrainian Uman through the territory of Moldova.
“The details and format of further actions are under consideration by the Moldovan authorities and will be announced later,” Roitman said.
He also emphasized that Moldova is interested in developing mutually beneficial and respectful bilateral relations with Israel and is ready for discussions and negotiations on this issue “for the benefit of the two countries and their citizens.
