Stuntman Vladimir Zharikov died
“On May 10, at the age of 86, the honorary cinematographer of Russia, candidate of philosophical sciences, actor, stuntman, poet and prose writer, member of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia, Vladimir Yuryevich Zharikov, passed away,” the publication says.
Zharikov’s creative biography includes more than 80 acting works in films, the press service noted. His projects include films such as D'Artagnan and the Three Musketeers and Pirates of the 20th Century.
In addition, in Stanislav Govorukhin’s film “The Meeting Place Cannot Be Changed,” Zharikov participated in stunts three times: he replaced a policewoman who was hit by a car, a waitress in a restaurant thrown out of a window, and Fox in the fight scenes.
The Union of Cinematographers recalled that Zharikov in the 1980s founded a stunt school in Odessa, which lasted ten years, then taught at the Moscow stunt training school of the All-Russian Association of Stuntmen “Master”, and organized the private film company “Mustang”.
