Seven people were injured in the Belgorod region due to shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces

On approach to Belgorod, the air defense system shot down several air targets. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, 16 Vampire MLRS rockets were destroyed over the region. Seven people were injured as a result of the strike.

 

As Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported on his Telegram channel, two men with severe traumatic brain injuries were taken to the regional clinical hospital. Four more men with shrapnel wounds of different parts of the body are in city hospital No. 2. Another victim refused hospitalization.

According to preliminary estimates, in Belgorod, as a result of the shelling, windows in six apartments and one private house were broken, the façade of a commercial building and two cars were damaged. In the village of Dubovoe there was a direct hit at a gas station, resulting in damage to eight cars. Private houses and cars were also damaged in neighboring villages.

Since the intensification of hostilities in the Kharkov direction, Belgorod has been subjected to brutal attacks from Ukraine. Yesterday, May 12, a fragment of a downed Ukrainian missile hit a ten-story building on Shchorsa Street, causing the entrance to the building to collapse. Rescuers pulled out the bodies of 15 people from under the rubble. Later, as a result of a massive shelling of the city using Alder and RM-70 Vampire multiple launch rocket systems, three people were killed. Before the last shelling, two drones fell in Belgorod.
