“We need to remain human.” Henin criticized Medvedev's behavior at the Masters
Seven-time Grand Slam champion, former world number one Justine Henin criticized the behavior of the world number four Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev in the second round match of the Masters in Monte Carlo with Frenchman Gael Monfils.
In the second set of the match, Medvedev expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that the line referee did not record the opponent’s kick as out of bounds. The Russian was reported to have called the judges “idiots” and “blind” during the argument.
“How can you behave like this? Honestly, it's terrible. Of course, refereeing mistakes are never pleasant. But the players themselves make mistakes and fail. We need to remain human. At such moments, problems with self-control become especially obvious,” Eurosport quotes Henin as saying.
