Kadyrov called the detention of the head of the Chechen Ministry of Emergency Situations in Dagestan a shameful provocation

The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, published a post on the Telegram channel dedicated to the story of the detention in Dagestan of the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for Chechnya, Alikhan Tsakaev. In the publication, Kadyrov called the detention a shameful provocation and called on the Dagestan authorities to take action against those who carried out it.

“He did not have official documents or uniform with him because he left on his day off. It turns out that this could be a reason to stage a whole performance at the checkpoint. Let me note that if Tsakaev had been in his general’s uniform, the post officers would have been afraid to even look in his direction. This is what happened later,” wrote Ramzan Kadyrov.

The detention, according to him, took place without explanation. Alikhan Tsakaev did not commit any gross violation, Ramzan Kadyrov added.

The head of Chechnya addressed the leadership of Dagestan and called on the security forces who carried out the arrest to be “thrown out of the structures with a bang.” He said they should not “wear and stain a peace officer’s uniform.” Chechnya and Dagestan fought together against terrorists, but “such unworthy employees will never become comrades either to you or to us,” Kadyrov wrote.

Ramzan Kadyrov's message also said that Alikhan Tsakaev participated in operations against terrorists and the evacuation of civilians in the Gaza Strip. The head of Chechnya added that Tsakaev received four Orders of Courage, the Order of Merit for the Fatherland and other awards.

On April 17, Alikhan Tsakaev’s car was stopped at the Gerzelsky Most checkpoint on the border with Chechnya. Six security officers dragged the man out of the SUV and laid him face down on the asphalt. State Duma deputy from Dagestan Sultan Khamzaev stated that Tsakaev was intoxicated. The Kremlin refused to comment on the incident.
