Director Alexander Ponomarev died
“Director Alexander Ponomarev has passed away,” the message says.
The theater added that the time and place of farewell will be announced additionally.
Colleagues note that Ponomarev had an amazing ability to “hear the style, atmosphere and special breath of the era he was talking about.”
“A master of literary theater, capable of re-composing the legendary production of the Futurists or crossing Ostrovsky and Khlebnikov.
