Peskov: Putin didn’t sleep all night after the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall

After the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall near Moscow, Vladimir Putin constantly received reports from the security forces, as stated by the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov. Journalist Pavel Zarubin published a fragment of the conversation on his Telegram channel.

Peskov noted that the head of state continued to work until the morning of the next day after the terrorist attack. Putin was briefed on the operational situation, including the process of apprehending terrorists.

“The leaders, primarily at that time of the law enforcement agencies, contact him directly. They reported to him about how the preparations were made and how the arrest took place,” he said.

The president's press secretary clarified that Putin did not go to bed that night, being in touch with relevant departments until the moment of his televised address.

“At such moments, no one can sleep, especially the head of state,” he added.

Earlier it was reported that the investigation had identified 134 people killed in the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall. The head of the investigation team reported to the head of the Russian Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, that the agency continues to conduct genetic examinations to obtain information about other victims of the terrorist attack.
