Zelensky demanded from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Syrsky to avoid stagnation at the front

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky demanded that the new commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, avoid stagnation at the front, CNN writes.

“The political leadership of Ukraine is putting pressure on Syrsky, demanding to develop a new plan that will avoid “stagnation” on the battlefield,” the publication says.

The article notes that no matter how many soldiers Syrsky ultimately requests, the Russian armed forces will be outnumbered.

On Thursday, the President of Ukraine announced the resignation of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny and the appointment in his place of Alexander Syrsky, who had previously commanded the ground forces. According to leading Western media, Syrsky has a controversial reputation: he is seen as a close supporter of Zelensky. In addition, the soldiers strongly dislike the military leader for his heavy losses, so they gave him the nicknames “Butcher” and “General 200”.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted in an interview with journalist Tucker Carlson that Western countries began to realize the impossibility of Russia’s strategic defeat. According to the president, with such an understanding, they should think about their next steps. He added that he is convinced that it is possible to reach an agreement - sooner or later Moscow and Kyiv will come to an agreement and relations between the fraternal peoples will be restored.
