Zakharova named the true reason for the withdrawal of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from Avdeevka

Kyiv decided to withdraw troops from Avdiivka not to “save lives,” as Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said, but because of the desire to fight only for money, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova wrote in her Telegram.

“No, that’s not why. But because ZePresident and his gang only know how to “fight” for big money, which goes straight into their pockets, and only against civilians,” she wrote.

Everything else is of no importance to the Kyiv regime, Zakharova concluded.

On Saturday, the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian troops, Alexander Syrsky, announced the decision to withdraw the Ukrainian Armed Forces from Avdiivka. Zelensky later announced this. According to him, this decision was made “to save the lives” of the soldiers.

According to the adviser to the head of the DPR, Yan Gagin, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are leaving their positions in Avdeevka chaotically, abandoning the wounded and fleeing. According to him, Ukrainian troops are leaving the city in scattered groups. At the same time, Gagin emphasized that it is premature to talk about the transfer of Avdeevka under Russian control; it is necessary to wait for the official message from the Russian Ministry of Defense .

The  Pentagon , in turn, admitted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were running out of ammunition and other resources, and called the impending loss of Avdiivka a harbinger of new defeats, inevitable without the resumption of American assistance.
