Three more drugs were found in Valieva's doping test

The Finnish TV channel learned the details of the proceedings in the case of Kamila Valieva.

According to Yle, in the doping test of Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva, in addition to the prohibited trimetazidine, L-carnitine, hypoxene and an unnamed drug with an anabolic effect were found.

According to the source, the substance with an anabolic effect that was found in Valieva’s possession is legal, but WADA plans to add it to the list of prohibited drugs. However, the publication does not specify which drug we are talking about. At the moment, the organization monitors only one anabolic steroid - ecdysterone - a natural steroid with a metabolic effect that increases endurance.

On January 29, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) issued a verdict in Valieva’s case. The Russian figure skater was found guilty of violating anti-doping rules and was disqualified for 4 years from the date of taking the doping test - December 25, 2021.

The International Skating Union (ISU) has annulled Kamila Valieva's results in the team figure skating tournament. The ISU awarded Russia third place in the team figure skating event at the 2022 Olympics. Kamila also lost gold medals at the European and Russian championships.
