The head of the Main Directorate of Logistics Support, Oleg Zavgorodniy, was fired from the Federal Customs Service, the department’s press service told RBC. He left of his own free will on February 6.
Earlier this week, the 112 telegram channel published a video that allegedly showed Zavgorodniy. The man was lying handcuffed on the floor of the police station. The Telegram channel reported that the video was filmed on February 2 in Kaliningrad, where he arrived to participate in the annual board of customs of the region.
The Cheka-OGPU reported that the general and his colleagues celebrated a business trip in the restaurant of a Kaliningrad hotel, where, while intoxicated, he started a brawl and was detained. According to the channel, Zavgorodniy spent several hours in police custody. The “Caution News” channel also reported on the general’s arrest.
