The bill on the age limit for contract workers has disappeared from the portal of legal acts
The draft federal law, which proposed to establish a single age limit for service during the mobilization period for all contract soldiers - 70 years for senior officers and 65 years for all others - has disappeared from the portal of draft regulatory legal acts.
“The project has been deleted. It seems something went wrong! The page you are requesting does not exist. It may be out of date, deleted, or an incorrect address was entered in the address bar,” says the page where the project was previously posted.
As explained in the Russian military department in a previously published document, the current law sets the age limit during the mobilization period only for those military personnel who entered into a contract after June 24, 2023 (with the entry into force of this law), but the document does not define the upper age limits for those who joined the service before this date. The bill planned to eliminate such uncertainty.
The effect of the bill was supposed to be extended to legal relations arising from February 24, 2022. The adoption of the new norm was supposed to ensure the required level of staffing of the armed forces, the Ministry of Defense motivated , clarifying that there would be no decrease in the level of combat readiness and combat capability of associations, formations and military units during the period of a special military operation.
