Russians were warned about a new scam scheme “on behalf of Nabiullina”

Fraudsters allegedly send messages to Russians on behalf of the head of the Bank of Russia, Elvira Nabiullina. Adviser to the head of the Central Bank Kenya Yudaeva reported on a new method of deception.

 

At the Ural forum “Cybersecurity in Finance”, she told how a message comes on behalf of Nabiullina, which talks about “promising and profitable transactions.” It also says that it is necessary to “execute a tranche to a subsidiary of our partners.”

Yudaeva noted that at the moment instant messengers are the main platforms for disseminating messages from scammers. She added that many people have already experienced deception by receiving letters supposedly from their immediate superiors.
