Cameraman of “Kitchen” and “The Last Hero” Pavel Kapinos died at the age of 48

Director, screenwriter and cameraman Pavel Kapinos, who directed “The Kitchen,” “The Last Hero” and “Unprincipled,” died at the age of 48, director Anna Melikyan announced on February 2.






According to her, the cause of death was cardiac arrest. The date and place of his farewell have not yet been announced.

“It’s impossible to sleep this night. I’m looking at photos from the filming of my saddest film, “8.” The filming was very fun and friendly. In the photo with us is our most talented and beautiful cameraman Pasha Kapinos. Yesterday Pasha's heart stopped. At 48 years old,” she wrote in her Telegram channel.

Melikyan expressed condolences to Kapinos’ family and friends.

The writer Sergei Minaev, with whom he worked on the set of “Duhless 2,” also announced his death.

“An amazingly talented person, one of the best cinematographers in Russia, Pavel Kapinos, has died. I don’t like the cliche about “bright people,” but this is specifically about Pasha,” he noted in the Telegram channel.

Pavel Kapinos was born on October 8, 1975. He graduated from the camera department of VGIK. Kapinos directed the films “Isolation” and “Farewell, Beloved.” He was the operator of “Dukhless 2”, “Yolki 5”, “Kitchen. The Last Battle”, “The Last Hero: The Root of Evil” and others.
