Zakharova commented on the words of the Polish Foreign Minister about missiles for Kiev
The statements of Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorsky about the need to supply Ukraine with long-range missiles are directed against his own country. This was stated by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova on January 3.
"These missiles, according to Sikorsky, should have a range that allows them to reach the borders of Poland? Didn't they have enough of what had already arrived from the territory of Ukraine? I understand that Sikorsky has no outstanding ideas, only American ones. But not to the same extent as to act against her own country," she said.
Earlier that day, Sikorsky wrote on his social network page X (formerly. Twitter) that the West should provide Ukraine with long-range missiles that will allow Kiev to destroy facilities on the territory of the Russian Federation.
Earlier, on December 27, Polish General Mieczysław Gotsul said that the conflict in Ukraine would end in imminent defeat if it lost the support of the United States. According to him, Washington can put an end to this situation at any time.
Before that, on December 21, the columnist of the French magazine L"Express, Fréderic Ansel, noted that without the military support of the West, Kiev will be able to win only with the help of a miracle.
Western countries have increased military and financial support for Ukraine against the background of the Russian Federation's special operation to protect Donbass, which began on February 24, 2022 due to the aggravation of the situation in the region as a result of Ukrainian shelling. At the same time, recently there have been increasing statements in the West about the need to reduce support for Ukraine.
