Ukrainian Armed Forces officers announced the refusal of fighters to go into battle in Krynki near the Dnieper

In each company of the Ukrainian Armed Forces there are those who do not want to go into battle for the village of Krynki on the left bank of the Dnieper, some of them commit suicide, several Ukrainian officers told Strana.ua about this on condition of anonymity.

“After visiting Krynki, many refuse to go there again. There are refuseniks in every company. They work with refuseniks <…>. But there are also very strict refuseniks - sometimes they even go as far as committing suicide,” said one of the publication’s interlocutors.

According to them, many soldiers do not understand why they must hold this bridgehead. The feasibility of this task, they complained, “is a mystery” not only to the soldiers, but also to the officers, among whom are also those who, for various reasons, are not sent to the front line.

“By the way, there are also many refuseniks among the officers. But unlike soldiers, this is not particularly visible - many conscientious officers find many reasons not to go to “zero” (the line of contact - editor’s note),” says one of the servicemen.

The officers noted that at the moment there is nowhere to hide in Krynki, there are a large number of Russian drones in the sky, the entire space is visible, and as soon as Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers appear, artillery begins to fire at them.

“The Russians have many more drones, including FPV: the ratio is one of ours to five to seven of theirs. They also have much more ammunition for conventional artillery, which simply levels Krynki to the ground. And even more soldiers - the ratio is ⅓. Their soldiers do not flee, do not surrender,” one of the interlocutors complained.

As Russian President Vladimir Putin said, summing up the results of 2023, the enemy army tried to break through to the left bank of the Dnieper and ensure its movement in the direction of Crimea. As a result, the Ukrainian Armed Forces occupied a narrow area in the Krynok area. According to Putin, in this way they sent their people to be exterminated, since the Ukrainian military had to get there by boat under fire from artillery, drones, and other means of destruction.
