There was a resident of Tyumen who won a billion rubles in the lottery

A participant from Tyumen, who won 1 billion rubles in the New Year's drawing of the 1526th draw of the Russian Lotto, has already applied for his winnings, the largest distributor of state lotteries in Russia, Stoloto, told RIA Novosti.

“The lottery billionaire has contacted the lottery center in Moscow to receive his winnings and is completing the formalities,” the company said.

They added that a quarter of the participants had already applied for “million dollar” winnings.

“In the first two weeks of 2024, 22 out of 87 winners who won one million rubles each applied for their winnings, which is 25%,” Stoloto added.

Among the 22 lottery millionaires of the “New Year's Billion”-2024 who applied for their winnings are residents of Moscow, Moscow, Voronezh, Saratov, Volgograd, Nizhny Novgorod and Ulyanovsk regions, St. Petersburg and Leningrad region, Krasnoyarsk Territory, as well as the Republics of Karelia and Komi.

“We urge all participants in the New Year’s Russian Lotto draw to check their tickets - perhaps you have become a new lottery millionaire! But let us remind you that the total period for winners to apply to receive their winnings is about three and a half years from the date of the draw. After this period, all unclaimed winnings are transferred in full to the budget of the Russian Federation,” said Stoloto Operations Marketing Director Varvara Basanovich.
