The Russian Armed Forces launched a strike with the Kinzhal missile system on Ukrainian military-industrial complex facilities

The Russian military launched a strike with long-range precision weapons against the military-industrial complex (MIC) of Ukraine. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported this on January 8.

The group strike was carried out by air- and sea-based weapons, including the Kinzhal hypersonic missile system, the department specified.

In addition, artillery, missile troops and drones of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation hit enemy personnel and military equipment in 108 regions.

The site of a meeting of commanders of units of the 101st Terrestrial Defense Brigade and 113 artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) at firing positions was also hit.

Earlier, on January 6, British analyst Alexander Merkouris said that the European Union was showing signs of panic after the missile strikes of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) that were destructive for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which were carried out on objects of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex . He noted that Russia's attacks caused colossal damage to Ukraine's military infrastructure, which the West painstakingly worked to create.

A day earlier, ex-Colonel of the Security Service of Ukraine ( SBU ) Oleg Starikov said that the Russian Aerospace Forces carried out massive strikes on Ukrainian targets in order to deplete the air defense ammunition of the Ukrainian army. According to him, the Russian Armed Forces are striking at infrastructure using their quantitative superiority in missiles.

On January 2 , the Ministry of Defense also reported that the Russian Armed Forces carried out a group strike with long-range precision weapons and drones on Ukrainian military-industrial complex enterprises. At that time, the targets were facilities fulfilling orders for the production of missiles, drones, repair of weapons and military equipment in Kyiv and its suburbs, as well as storage sites for ammunition and aircraft weapons.

Russian military personnel began striking critical Ukrainian infrastructure facilities on October 10, 2022. As Head of State Vladimir Putin noted then, this was a response to the terrorist actions of the Kyiv regime, in particular on the Crimean Bridge.
