The FSB detained a Russian for attempting sabotage at a Russian Defense Ministry facility
The FSB detained a Russian involved in an attempt to commit sabotage at a facility of the Russian Ministry of Defense on instructions from the Ukrainian special services. This was reported to TASS by the Public Relations Center (PSC) of the FSB of Russia.
“The Federal Security Service detained a Russian citizen involved in an attempt to commit sabotage in January 2024, on instructions from the Ukrainian special services, at one of the facilities of the Russian Ministry of Defense in the Chelyabinsk region. The saboteur was recruited through social networks on the Internet,” the CSO reported.
In addition, his involvement in the arson attacks on communications facilities and railway infrastructure in the Republic of Dagestan that took place in November and December 2023 was also established.
As noted by the CSO, “communications and electronic media containing his photo reports and correspondence with Ukrainian curators were confiscated from the detainee.”
The detainee, as well as the collected materials, were transferred to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
