“When the war is on our eastern border, any help and cooperation from our allies is welcomed as much as possible. So, if the Germans want to strengthen NATO’s eastern flank in Poland, as they did in Lithuania, then welcome,” the politician said.
He also noted that Germany is a friend and reliable partner for Poland, which is why the country agreed to the deployment of German troops.
Earlier, Scheina said that the topic of German reparations for damage caused to Poland during World War II remains on the bilateral agenda of Polish-German relations. However, he noted that the approach of the current government will differ from their predecessors.
