Mishustin signed a document on indexation of 40 payments and benefits from February 1

The head of the Russian government, Mikhail Mishustin, said during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers that the fulfillment of social obligations in Russia to citizens is provided for in the federal budget in full.

He noted that the budget has money for indexation of over 40 types of social payments and benefits from February 1. “From February 1, over 40 different payments and benefits will be indexed. The corresponding government resolution has been prepared,” the Prime Minister noted.

He added that the fulfillment of social obligations to the population will be carried out in full at the expense of the federal budget.

“Assistance to families will increase. First of all, we are talking about a one-time benefit, which is provided at the birth of a child and a monthly [benefits - approx. ed.] for caring for the baby,” added Mikhail Mishustin.

The size of maternity capital will also increase.

“This year it will amount to more than 630 thousand rubles for the first-born and almost 834 thousand rubles for the second and subsequent children,” the prime minister informed.

From February 1st the following increases are also envisaged:

- payments to disabled people,

- veterans of the Great Patriotic War and military operations,

- Heroes of Russia,

- Heroes of Labor.

and other citizens.

Mishusti recalled that after the 1st, about 20 million citizens will receive increased amounts. “They should receive the required funds, naturally, without delay. Dear colleagues, I ask you to carefully monitor this in each region,” Mishustin instructed.
