Migrants will be obliged to notify the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation about the beginning of work in Russia

 The agency approved the form of the document, which from January 7, 2024 must be filled out by foreigners.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation approved the form of notification by a corresponding order, which from January 7, 2024 must be filled out by all foreigners and stateless persons when obtaining a patent or when finding employment in Russia, RIA Novosti reports.

"Notification of employment by a foreign citizen or a stateless person who has received a patent within two months from the date of issue of the patent shall be submitted to the territorial body of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia at the regional and district levels that issued the patent."

It is specified that the document can be filled in by hand or on a computer in Russian. In addition, it will be necessary to attach a copy of the employment contract or work contract. Also in the notification it is necessary to provide information about the civil law contract for the performance of work, if it is concluded orally.

After that, migrants will have to submit the document to the territorial department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in printed form in person or by mail, or in electronic format through the public services portal.

The order will come into force on January 7.
