Israel wants to hire thousands of Moldovan workers
Israel plans to hire 20,000 workers in Moldova, China, India and Sri Lanka for the construction industry in the first trimester of 2024.
This was stated by Director General of the Ministry of Construction Yehuda Morgenstern, noting that the shortage of workers increased the construction time of facilities from 27 to 34 months.
In total, Israel intends to hire up to 70,000 foreigners for construction to return to the previous pace of construction.
"The proposed resolution, which will increase the quota of foreign workers from 50,000 to 70, is ready and will be submitted to the government for approval in the coming days."
