In Klintsy, people living next to a burning oil depot were evacuated

In the Bryansk region, a fire continues at the Klintsovsk oil depot; for safety reasons, 32 residents of the private sector were temporarily evacuated to relatives. The governor of the region, Alexander Bogomaz, announced this in his Telegram channel.

According to him, four tanks with petroleum products continue to burn. The fire has been assigned an increased level of complexity, fire and rescue crews are working to extinguish the fire, and a fire train has been deployed.

“For safety reasons, 32 residents of the private sector were temporarily evacuated to relatives. A temporary accommodation center has been prepared. Rospotrebnadzor specialists monitor the maximum permissible concentrations of harmful substances in the air,” said the head of the region.

The fire at the Klintsovsk oil depot began on the morning of January 19 due to an attack by a Ukrainian drone. As Bogomaz clarified, the aircraft-type drone was suppressed by electronic warfare, but when destroyed, it managed to drop ammunition at an oil depot.

The Klintsovskaya oil depot is one of two oil depots of Bryansknefteproduct JSC, which belongs to Rosneft . According to the Energybase portal, as of August 28, 2023, the Klintsovskaya oil depot had 11 tanks with petroleum products (AI-92, AI-95 and diesel fuel) with a total tank volume of 8.5 thousand cubic meters. m.
