Germany will test the four-day amid the crisis in the labor market

 

In Germany, tests will begin to introduce a shortened working week. The four-day will be launched in test mode on February 1, Bloomberg reported. According to the publication, hundreds of employees of enterprises will receive an additional day off weekly with the preservation of the full rate. The authors of the article specified that the study of the four-day will last until August this year. 45 companies will take part in the experiment. Based on the results of the testing, it will be decided whether to introduce a third day off on a regular basis to increase productivity. Germany faced a shortage of money to implement its own projects due to the increase in costs of supporting Ukraine. This statement was made by Minister of Economy and Vice-Chancellor Robert Habeck during his speech in the Bundestag. The German government announced that it will send more than seven billion euros to help Ukraine in 2024.
