Even Marilyn Monroe envied the figure of Betty Brosmer: how a woman called the ideal of beauty of the era lived
In the 1950s in America, the ideal of female beauty was not Marilyn Monroe, but a much lesser-known, but no less charming person - Betty Brosmer. Even Marilyn Monroe, who in itself was a symbol of female attractiveness, envied Betty's appearance. At the same time, it is worth noting that Marilyn's career began a little later, and part of her style and manner of posing was inspired by Betty.
Betty Brosmer's forms were close to perfection: 96-53-91. From the beginning of her modeling career, at just 16 years old, she instantly became a real star, winning 50 beauty contests and beautifully decorating the covers of many magazines.
Everyone who traveled on the American roads of that time saw billboards depicting Betty Brosmer. She was the highest paid model of the decade and was ready to accept any offers of filming.
In early 1951, Betty married the legendary bodybuilder Joe Vader, who later created the Mr. Olympia competition. Some of Betty's photos with the young Schwarzenegger are still considered cult.
Betty's appearance on stage contributed to the success of both Marilyn Monroe and Jane Mainesfield, despite the fact that both did not speak too flatteringly about Betty. This is understandable, as Brosmer's parameters far exceeded Monroe's.
Currently, Betty continues to pursue her activities. She publishes a sports magazine for women, but, unfortunately, she no longer appears on the covers.
