Deripaska predicted when the conflict in Ukraine will end

MOSCOW, January 14 – RIA Novosti. The conflict in Ukraine will end no earlier than May 2025, Russian billionaire and businessman Oleg Deripaska said on Telegram, commenting on the start of the World Economic Forum in Davos tomorrow.

“The United States will be represented at the forum at a high level - Secretary of State Antony Blinken and National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan will attend. It’s a pity that there won’t be a constructive conversation about the situation in Ukraine—there won’t be a Russian delegation. Although we won’t have to wait for peace before May 25th.”

At the same time, Deripaska noted, referring to the organizers, that the main topic of the forum would be negotiations on peace in the Middle East and Ukraine.

“Also on the agenda is the conflict in the Gaza Strip: its resolution will be discussed by the United States together with the UAE, Qatar and Israel. The second important topic will be a discussion of the current economic situation against the backdrop of rising interest rates and rising debt,” he continued.

The businessman noted that a closed meeting of the heads of the Central Bank will take place at the forum in Davos; French President Emmanuel Macron and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen are scheduled to speak.

“We will closely monitor the key events of the forum,” he concluded.

The annual World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland will be held from January 15 to 19.
