Azerbaijan has temporarily restricted the import of meat products from Moldova

 The Food Security Agency of Azerbaijan announced a temporary restriction on the import of meat products from Moldova.

Azerbaijan has restricted the import of meat products from some regions of Moldova and Libya. The basis for this was the data of the World Organization for Animal Health on the detection of outbreaks of avian influenza and footh-and-and-moe disease.

"In accordance with the "Land Animal Health Code" of the World Organization for Animal Health, a temporary restriction has been imposed on the import of live poultry and hatching eggs, poultry meat, finished meat products from poultry farms in the Ryshkan and Dubossary districts of Moldova," the Food Security Agency of Azerbaijan reported.

In early January, the sanitary department reported the detection of 25 foci of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza on the territory of the republic. Of these, 15 were found in the wild, another 10 were found in birds from small farms.
