An Afghan newspaper reported the theft of $1.2 million from a crashed Russian Falcon.

Afghanistan has launched an investigation into the theft of $1.2 million from a crashed Russian Falcon 10B plane in the mountains of Badakhshan province, local newspaper Hasht e Subh Daily reports, citing sources.

One of the survivors of the crash independently reached the nearest village in Afghanistan and asked for help with gestures. The villagers took the survivor to Taliban representatives. He was Igor Syvorotkin, he was even able to call his relatives, Mash clarified.
