The Russian government has indexed a number of payments to the military by 4.5% from January 1
The Government of the Russian Federation approved the indexation of certain payments to military personnel by 4.5% from January 1, 2024. The corresponding resolution was published on December 26 on the official legal information portal.
“Based on the level of inflation, carry out indexation using a coefficient of 1.045,” the document states.
The measures will affect the amount of payments to military personnel, employees of a number of federal executive bodies, citizens dismissed from military service and persons who have undergone military training.
In particular, military personnel will receive an increase in their one-time allowance. This measure will also affect police officers and a number of federal executive authorities.
In addition, the size of monthly monetary compensation will be indexed for military personnel. The amount of compensation for those serving in volunteer formations will also increase.
In addition, the insurance amounts of citizens called up for military training, private and commanding officers of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation, the State Fire Service, employees of the penitentiary system, the National Guard and compulsory enforcement agencies will be increased.
Earlier, on December 14, Russian President Vladimir Putin, during the “Results of the Year,” pointed out an improvement in the situation with payments to fighters in the special operation zone to protect Donbass.
Prior to this, on December 5, the government approved a bill that extends insurance payments in the event of the death of a participant in a special military operation to unborn children.
