The Russian Foreign Ministry said that the country is ready for new EU sanctions
Russia is ready for new sanctions of the European Union, the effectiveness of which is significantly reduced and the arsenal is deprecioring. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to Dmitry Birichevsky, Director of the Department of Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
"The new sanctions wave did not come as a surprise to us. There have already been a lot of such. We are ready for them. We regard the 12th package of anti-Russian sanctions as another manifestation of the aggressive course of the EU against our country. But such a policy is clearly running out of steam, its arsenal is running out of low, the efficiency is rapidly falling. "Boomerang" damage from restrictions is more and more painful for their initiators," said Birichevsky.
He added that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs adheres to an integrated approach in analyzing the consequences of retaliatory steps - first of all, from the point of view of its own economic interests.
Before that, the share of the ruble in Russian foreign trade increased to 40%, the dollar and euro already account for less than 30% against the recent 90%.
