The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection reminded that from January 1, 2024 in Belarus you can take an additional day off to undergo medical examination. A video fragment from the Belarus 1 TV channel was published in the official telegram channel of the department.

It is reported that working Belarusians who are under 40 years old will be released from work once every three years while maintaining their average earnings. Those who are 40 years old will be given one day each year, maintaining their average earnings.

It is said that employees who have reached the general retirement age, and within five years before reaching the specified age, will receive two days every year.

— The employee will be released from work and during this period of time his average earnings will be retained. He will have to agree with his employer about the day when the employee is going to devote to undergoing medical examination,” said Inna Selivon, head of the main legal department of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.
