The Ministry of Internal Affairs has put on the wanted list the ex-chief of the Main Directorate of the ICR, who fled to Israel.

 Lawyer Furgal Dovgiy was arrested in absentia in Moscow in a fraud case

The Basmanny Court of Moscow arrested in absentia the former head of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Dovgiy, and the lawyer of the ex-governor of the Khabarovsk Territory, Sergei Furgal, in a fraud case. This was stated in the press service of the authority.

“The Basmanny Court of Moscow considered the request of the investigative authorities to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention in relation to Dovgiy Dmitry - a previously convicted lawyer of the Leningrad Region Bar Association is accused of committing a crime under the articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Preparation for a crime and attempted crime”, “Fraud” ", they noted there.

The court added that they chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for two months - from the moment of Dovgy’s extradition to the territory of the Russian Federation or his detention in the country. According to journalists, Dovgy is now in Israel. Since 2021, he has been the lawyer of Furgal, who in February 2023 was sentenced to 22 years in prison in the case of organizing contract killings.

Let us remember that after Furgal’s arrest in 2020, mass riots took place in the Khabarovsk Territory, and the mother of the murdered Roman Sandalov told Life that for her, the trial of the ex-governor is a real reward for many years of struggle for justice.
