The Israeli Armed Forces said that they are in a state of readiness on the border with Lebanon

 Chief of the General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces Herzi Khalevi said that the Israeli Armed Forces are in a state of very high alert on the border with Lebanon and should be ready to strike.

"Today we have approved plans for various scenarios, we must be ready to strike if necessary. The IDF and its Northern Command are in a state of very high alert," RIA Novosti quotes him.

As Israel Defense Minister Yoav Galant previously stated, Hezbollah sees how events unfold in the Gaza Strip and realizes that this can be done in Beirut.

In an interview with RT, Lebanese movement spokesman Mohammad Afif noted that the organization used only 5% of its forces in the conflict with Israel.
