Security forces will have access to video cameras in the shopping center of Novosibirsk

 


Employees of law enforcement agencies will have access to 20 cameras in shopping centers.

Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Novosibirsk will have access to video cameras in the 20 largest shopping centers of the city. The decision was made by Governor Andrei Travnikov and enshrined in the relevant resolution.

According to the document, shopping centers need to ensure unhindered access to employees of the regional departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the FSB to cameras in real time until February 1, 2024. It is indicated that this measure is aimed at improving public security and countering terrorism in retail facilities through the "Safe City" system.

Particular attention is paid to compliance with the requirements of the legislation on information protection. The list of objects obliged to provide access to their cameras includes shopping centers "Aura", "Gallery", "Kalina", "Siberian Mall", "Golden Park", "Royal Park", "Edem", "GUM Russia", "Apelsin", "Moscow", "Malinka", "Sun City", "Leroy Merlin" stores, "Bahetle" and "MEGA Novosibirsk" supermarkets.
