Rostrud talked about guarantees for workers on holidays

 From January 1 to January 8, there will be general holidays in Russia - non-working holidays. However, there are workers who, despite this, will have to work. Rostrud reminded what guarantees are provided for such people by labor legislation.

“The Labor Code establishes guarantees of increased wages for those who are involved in work on such days,” explains the department’s press service. And they also clarify: employees receiving a salary should be paid at least double the amount for work on holidays.

For piece workers - no less than double piece rates. For those whose work is paid according to tariffs - in an amount not less than double the tariff rate.

Moreover, if the employee wants, he may be given another day of rest for working on a non-working holiday. Then this day will be paid in a single amount, and the day of rest will not be subject to payment.

If labor rights are violated, the employee will be able to complain to the state labor inspectorate.
