Poland promised to react more harshly to the violation of its airspace

 


Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland Vladislav Teofil Bartoszewski, after a meeting with Chargé d'affaires of the Russian Federation Andrei Ordash, said that Warsaw was ready to react more harshly to the violation of its airspace. This is reported by wPolityce.

Poland, the publication explains, requires Russia to explain in connection with the missile that allegedly violated the country's airspace on the night of December 29. Warsaw claims that 40 kilometers deep into Polish territory, after which it returned to Ukraine and was shot down by air defense.

"I clearly told Mr. Chargé d'affaires a.i. of the Russian Federation that the repetition of such attempts will meet a stronger reaction from the Republic of Poland, because this is a test of our effectiveness and our approach to defense. I assure you that we will be able to react quickly and harshly if this happens again," said Vladislav Teofil Bartoshevsky.

The diplomat also answered the journalists' question about Poland's reaction to the recurrence of such an incident. According to Bartoshevsky, if the missile "flew a little further deep into Polish territory, it would have been shot down."

Chargé d'affaires of Russia Andrei Ordash was summoned to the Polish Foreign Ministry on Friday, December 29. The reason for this was that the shell flew into Polish airspace from the Ukrainian border. The Polish General Staff stated without evidence that this missile was allegedly Russian.

Andrey Ordash, as RBC reports, later indicated that to provide evidence that the shell belongs to Russia.

The diplomat called all the accusations in the incident against Moscow unfounded and noted that the Kremlin would not give any explanations until the evidence was provided.
