Orange level of weather danger announced in Belarus for Wednesday

 Belarusian weather forecasters warn that unstable weather will continue in the next few days.



A storm warning has been announced in Belarus for Wednesday due to increased winds, the Republican Center for Hydrometeorology, Radioactive Pollution Control and Environmental Monitoring reported.

According to forecasters, on December 27, the weather in the country will be formed by the atmospheric fronts of a cyclone, the center of which will begin to shift from the Baltic Sea towards the Ryazan region of the Russian Federation through the northern regions of the republic.

“Cloudy with clearings, occasional precipitation at night; during the day, short-term snow, sleet and rain will occur over most of the country,” Belhydromet said.

They also clarified that in some places across the republic there will be accumulation of wet snow, slight ice, and icy conditions on the roads.

The wind is expected to be from the west and north-west, and strong and gusty. At night the air temperature will be from −2 to +4°Ð¡, during the day - from 0 to +6°Ð¡.

At night the atmospheric pressure will not change significantly, but during the day it will increase rapidly.

On Thursday, December 28, precipitation is again forecast - snow, sleet, rain during the day, and light fog and sleet in some areas. At night the temperature will range from 0 to −6°C, during the day - from −2°C (in the northeast) to +6°C (in the southwest).
