Lukashenko has high hopes for Krutoy’s commission
In the fall, the Belarusian president announced the creation of a commission to control exports to the Russian Federation, and now Lukashenko wants to sum up the preliminary results.
MINSK, December 26 – Sputnik. Russia is Belarus’s main priority in the EAEU from an economic point of view, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said in a video published on the “Pool of the First” Telegram channel.
At a meeting with the republic’s ambassador to the Russian Federation, Dmitry Krutoy, in St. Petersburg, Lukashenko recalled that the diplomat had been instructed to head the export control commission.
In his opinion, the first results of this body can already be summed up. As the president noted, there are “global solutions” on which promises were made, including to Lukashenko himself. The head of state asked the ambassador to report on what has been done and talk about plans.
The creation of the commission was announced in October of this year. Then, at a meeting with the ambassador, Lukashenko said that it would be Krutoy who would lead it. It was also said that the president would sign a decree on this matter.
The President instructed to report directly if any questions arise in the work of the commission. Krutoy, in turn, speaking to the press, assured that the commission would make proposals, but not interfere in the work of enterprises.
