Kirkorov spoke about remakes of popular Soviet films
The singer compared the remakes of the Soviet classics with the cartoon "Shrek"
Singer Philip Kirkorov said in an interview with "TV Program" that he approves of modern remakes of popular Soviet films.
"I will not specifically defend specific projects now, I will only say in advance: on these works, on this work of a colossal team, a new understanding of ourselves is growing on the screen, in music, in pop culture," Kirkorov reminded.
He believes that sometimes modern realities should be embedded in classical works to give them a second life. According to the singer, "many people do not like" this approach, as sometimes the remake becomes a crooked mirror of the original.
"There is such a thing as deconstruction in culture. The ideal example of this phenomenon is the cartoon Shrek. Poory, with jokes at the level of "don't keep your farts in yourself," bullying Disney characters," Kirkorov reminded.
The performer explained that, despite a fairly large number of rude jokes, "Shrek" was the first project to receive an Oscar.
The day before it became known that Philip Kirkorov was completely removed from the New Year's TV broadcast. For the first time in thirty years, New Year's programs will be held without the participation of the artist.
