Guberniev against the recognition of Kostomarov as the athlete of the year

Commentator Dmitry Guberniev spoke about the recognition of Kostomarov as the athlete of the year according to the VTsIOM survey.

Earlier, VTsIOM published the data of a telephone survey of Russians, which was conducted among Russians: 8% named Roman Kostomarov the athlete of the year in Russia, the second was Kamila Valieva, who received 5% of the votes. Alexander Bolshunov, Alexandra Trusova, Evgenia Medvedeva and Alexander Ovechkin received 2% of the votes.

72% of respondents found it difficult to answer, 7% of respondents named other names.

In his telegram channel, Guberniev reposted the opinion of journalist Vladimir Ivanov, who wrote:

"According to VTsIOM, the athlete of the year is Roman Kostomarov. And according to the "SE" version. And according to, for example, Nikolai Valuev. I don't understand that. Then you can call it the actor of the year, the good that Roman has a wealth of experience in filming. And the driver of the year. And the theater of the year. And all attempts to challenge will fight on the moral side - how dare you disagree when a person has experienced this? Emotions against logic. Kostomarov really experienced horror. He's a fighter. A man with great willpower. An example for those who find themselves in a terrible situation. And in the category of "overcoming the year" or even "person of the year" Roman would look organic. But "athlete of the Year" is about something else. There is nothing to intere with achievements in the arenas with near-sports - even if insanely powerful - stories. And Kostomarov is an iron man without strange nominations, and everyone knows about it."

Guberniev added from himself:

"I totally agree with the author!!! Especially since Kostomarov himself is surprised!!! He told me the day before!!! We're just not a sports country at all... Alas... Especially today."
