Ford F-150 RaptorTRAX monster pickup truck owned by Ken Block was put up for sale
The customized 2009 Ford F-150, owned by the late racer and showman Ken Block, is up for sale at a price of $195,000. The price is too high for an almost 15-year-old F-150, but it's not an ordinary Ford
This project is known as RaptorTRAX - it was created for driving in the snow. The American tuning company SVC Offroad removed the original wheels and replaced them with a set of caterpillars that are ideal for snow, but can also be used in mud, gravel and rocks. If necessary, these tracks can be removed and the original wheels can be installed.
Many other changes have been made to Ken Block's unique F-150. Among them are custom suspension arms from SVC, King shock absorbers with remote tanks, protective bottom pads, tubular bumpers and fiberglass fenders.
The regular 5.4-liter V8 has been replaced by a 6.2-liter V8, equipped with a Whipple turbocharger and producing 650 hp. This engine is aggregated with a six-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system.
SVC Offroad did not stop there and installed a safety frame in the truck body, inside which there are two Recaro seats. There is also a waterproof audio system. The car is equipped with a Warn winch, a roof rack with two chandeliers glowing back and forth.
In the past, several Ken Block cars were sold, including his 1986 Ford RS200, 2013 Ford Fiesta ST RX43, 2011 Ford Fiesta GYM3 and the famous 1977 Ford F-150 Hoonitruck.
Ken Block died on January 2, 2023 in a snowmobile accident. Block took part in many types of sports competitions, including skateboarding, snowboarding, motocross, rally, rally-cross and jimhana. And Ken Block started his racing career quite late - when he was almost 40 years old. The videos in which he skillfully drives a car, performing various tricks, made him a world celebrity. A fatal accident happened to him at the age of 55.
