Brindley's double helped the US team beat Norway in the first match at the World Cup

 The Group B match of the World Youth Championship has ended in Gothenburg. The US team met with Norway and won (4:1).

Gavin Brindley scored a double for the US team. Jimmy Snuggerud and Isaac Howard also scored goals. Petter Westerheim scored for the Norwegians.

Earlier in Group B, the Slovak team beat the Czech Republic with a score of 6:2.

On Thursday, December 28, the US team will play against Switzerland, and Norway will meet the Czech Republic the day before.
