 UEFA updated its association and club rankings for the last time in 2023. The Russian Championship is in 29th place in the coefficients table, according to the organization’s website.


Russia has 18,632 points. The first place in the ranking of coefficients over the past five years is occupied by England (100.553 points), Spain takes second place (86.114), Italy closes the top three (83.284), Germany is in fourth place (80.909), and France is in fifth (62.164).

When calculating the association's club rating, the results of all clubs in the country are taken into account. It is used to determine the number of association representatives in European competitions for the coming season. To calculate points in the UEFA coefficient tables for the 2023/24 season, Russia was assigned the lowest amount of points per season earned over the past five years - 4,333 points.


Thus, the Russian championship is located in the ranking of club coefficients below Slovakia and Azerbaijan. At the end of the 2022/23 season, Russia dropped to 18th place in the UEFA coefficients table (26,215 points). After the 2021/22 season, Russia was in 10th place (34,482).

In the women's odds table, Russia took 31st place.

Manchester City has been leading the club rankings over the past five years. The top 5 also included Bayern, Real Madrid, PSG and Liverpool. Zenit has the best position in the ranking among Russian clubs - 78th.

104th place in the UEFA rankings went to Lokomotiv Moscow. The Railwaymen are second among Russian clubs. 107th place for Spartak, 109th for Krasnodar. Capital CSKA is located on the 206th line.

Russian clubs cannot participate in European Cup competitions for the 2023/24 season due to the situation in Ukraine. Therefore, Russia does not have the opportunity to get more points in the UEFA rankings.
