All restrictions were lifted from blogger Chekalina
All restrictions, including those related to the movement and use of the Internet, have been removed from blogger Valeria Chekalina (Lerchek), her lawyer Konstantin Tretyakov told RIA Novosti.
"All restrictions have been lifted," said the agency's interlocutor.
Earlier, Chekalina and her husband were banned from certain actions, which restricted the use of the Internet, telephone, communication - except for close relatives.
Two criminal cases have been initiated against Chekalina and her husband Artem. The first concerns tax evasion for 311 million rubles. According to the investigation, the blogger used a simplified taxation system, although her income from fitness marathons exceeded the maximum permissible limit of 150 million rubles per year.
The second case is about money laundering on a particularly large scale. According to the Investigative Committee, the Chekalins legalized more than 130 million rubles in April 2021, buying dollars with them, "which disguised the connection of legalized funds with the criminal source of their origin."
At the end of November, the arrest was removed from the blogger's account, she repaid the debt to the state, including fines and penalties.
